“It’s always raining in Belfast,” Kate Walsh muses.
The city happily obliges. We have our moments.
And yet, it’s all so fitting. Perhaps its the nautical theme of ‘Seafarer’ – the gentle rain sound effects that open her 2009 album ‘Light & Dark’ – replicated here for real on ‘As He Pleases’ – but something draws her to an excited revelation: “We should all go busking in Brighton”.

Kate Walsh is currently touring Europe – where she’ll be supporting Paolo Nutini in Italy – but not before returning to Ireland on 20 November where she’ll play the Set Theatre, Kilkenny – and in March 2010, a headline show at Whelan’s in Dublin.
