IN STORES NOW#40: PAUL SHEVLIN
by Will McConnell
Life begins at 40, John Lennon once sang. Then he died. Paul Shevlin doesn’t look a day over 18. I think he might even be younger. Either way, the future looks bright.
When I met Paul we spent the afternoon in Belfast searching for pianos – first Marcus Music obliged, then the Black Box, only to find their piano is pretty badly out of key. No matter, they didn’t kick us out. Then the Oh Yeah centre came to the rescue (for the 2nd time in a month), and before we got kicked out of there (only joking), we recorded another little number..

Paul plays Laverys bunker tonight and again on the 4th, 5th and 6th June at Queens University as part of the Keynote mini-fest.

Fantastic songs; he fills the whole sound with one instrument and his voice – pretty impressive
