Urban Hymns @ Oh Yeah
by Will McConnell
Bandwidth will be helping to launch the new film club at the Oh Yeah Music Centre – named in homage to a brilliant little electro-beat combo from these here shores – the ‘ONE DOOR CINEMA CLUB’ launches tomorrow at 12 noon with an exclusive screening of ‘URBAN HYMNS: THE MOVIE’
First shown at the Belfast Film Festival, this feature-length concert film documents on of the most important musical events of 2008 – an exclusive, sold out night of sould msuic from Ireland’s top artists.
‘Urban Hymns: The Movie’ will be shown on a loop between 12noon and 3pm every day next week Monday 15th June till Friday 20th- at 69mins that’s about 2 and a half screenings a day – in the Oh Yeah centre’s specially built 6 seater cinema. I would at this point make some audacious claim about the One Door Cinema Club being the smallest cinema in Ireland, but I’ve not real way of verifying that. So answers on a postcard please.
Admission is FREE – so come down, catch some Urban soul music from the Inishowen Gospel Choir accompanying Duke Special, Foy Vance, Bronagh Gallagher and a host of other awesome awesome acts.
