Bandwidth met The National when The Jane Bradfords supported them at Belfast’s Mandela Hall in July 2008. The band were already recording an acoustic session for BBC Radio Ulster, but were interested in adding a visual element to the performance. We sourced an abandoned film set from an independent production that had taken a break from filming – we place the band in the middle and got to work.

They are always looking for new ways to challenge and expand their art and their primary concern is always, rather than commercial, ‘will this work artistically?’
