IN STORES NOW#54: The Salt Flats

The Salt Flats is the probably the most unlikely supergroup collaboration in history.

Take a pinch of Mark Gordon from DJ/Remixers/Label/Live band Skibunny, a splash of Ewan Gordon (not his brother) of Coney Island Sound, stir in Katie Richardson (minus The Carnival) and simmer for 20 minutes with Cara Cowan. Erm, well, you get the idea.

Anyway, where better to place this musical wünderbeest than the natural history section of the Ulster Museum, in amongst the weird stuffed animals and pretty rocks.

Damn it Will, you sweet prince! Your musical adventures only make my life seem even shittier by comparison.

The tracks are dynamite – can’t wait to hear more from these guys.
